You really need to use less polys, but awesome work dude, if anyone AT ALL asks you for a job as a 3D MODELER say no, you work for us now

Essence keeps telling me to make my models as low poly as possible!
And you want detail!
wtf do I do?
Anyway, the Companion cube had detail, the RPG had detail, it had every screw, every dent.
I'm confused as to what needs doing

Well
It's actually the texture that puts the detail in, what you should do...
Is unload one of the mat.zip things, and add some dents and shit to the jpg, then re-compress it, and install

The render may not be super detailed but the model is somewhat detailed.

Ok, first off nice to see someone else uses 3d Programs
and about the detail it depends on what you are using it for it you want it to be in a game the make it low poly but if youre just getting the picture and not going to use it in realtime then just make as much as you wish
oh and i use blender but im not great at it

Cool.
I'm trying to learn Blender on the side but it its UI is quite intimidating. Right click is select, but not always. Space brings up the stuff and you select with LC but RC is....
I have to read manuals for it.
Wings3D is much easier to use but it can only model. No rendering, no animating, no game making.
I need to learn blender :|

You get used to blender like most things, never used wings but i think you can do more stuff in blender
it is the best free 3d program for sure, but i have 3ds max but i have no idea how to use it!
and blenders game engine is soo cool, that plus the liquid sims are cool as well, im making a m24 sniper in it atm im having trouble with the sniper scope trying to get it so it actualy zooms if the camara is aimed down it
but i might download wings and have a go with it

Wings is a box modeler and is actually very good for organics, but organics are much harder to make :|

yes i hope we do!some good news is we are geting a 3d program set at school with like 10 processors connected to one computer so it should be soo sweet, and fast to render
